Dr. Ikupa Moses is a lecturer in the Department of Educational Psychology and Curriculum Studies and a Coordinator for the Gender Unit at DUCE. She holds a PhD in Teaching and Teacher Education from ICLON- Leiden University Graduate School of Teaching in the Netherlands, M.A (Applied Social Psychology) and B.Ed. (Adult Education) from the University of Dar es salaam. Before joining DUCE, Ikupa worked with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology as a teacher in secondary schools and as an examination officer at the National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA). Ikupa’s research interest broadly focuses on areas of Teaching; Teacher Education; Teacher Motivation and Professional Development; Educational Psychology; and Gender Issues.

Currently, in research she is leading a collaborative research project on Teacher Professional Development between DUCE and ZJNU – China; also a team member and coordinator of a collaborative project on Gender Awareness and Transformation though Education (GATE) between DUCE and TCD.
